The University of Patras with the support of Patras IQ Innovation & Know-how Exhibition, POS4work Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and the collaboration of large companies, organizations, and funds, organize the 3rd RE-STARTUP Cycle titled “RE-STARTUP Patras Open Innovation“.

The action addresses to students, researchers and young graduates of the University of Patras and has a duration of 5 months. The number of participants is 40 people and they will form 7-10 groups. As part of this partnership, the selected candidates will attend specialized seminars and workshops, receive support from mentors and coaches, will contact investors and company executives, will have access to a local and international network of partners and free building premises and technological equipment. After the completion of the relevant seminars they will participate in pitching events (competitions with presentation of business ideas) that will be organized in the framework of PATRAS IQ 2020.

• Social Impact
• Maritime
• Smart Cities

At the same time in the specific cycle of “RE-STARTUP” an effort will be made to strengthen the creation of spin-off companies through the collaboration of researchers and faculty members of the laboratories of the Departments of the University of Patras (Hellenic Open University (EAP) and University of Peloponnese), which are a key pillar of research activity.

The ultimate goal of the “RE-STARTUP” program is the training of “potential” entrepreneurs in modern methodologies and marketing strategies, in order to take advantage of the development prospects offered by the city of Patras and to create a pole of innovation in Western Greece.
