HelMSIC (Hellenic Medical Students ’International Committee Hellenic Medical Students International Committee) is an independent non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan association. It was founded in 1958 by medical students, and today consists of 7 local committees, one in each Medical School. The actions focus on 6 topics: Medical Education, Public Health, Reproductive and Sexual Health, Human Rights and Peace, Clinical and Research Exchanges. Collaborators in its activities are the following organizations: Doctors Without Borders, KETHEA, Doctors of the World, ACT UP etc. In addition, HelMSIC is an active member of IFMSA – International Federation of Medical Students ‘Associations and EMSA – European Medical Students’ Association.
