If the invitation for submission of a research proposal provides for the award of a reciprocal scholarships to doctoral and postdoctoral candidates but does not specify the amount of the scholarship, then the following limits apply (decisions 561/ 30.08.2018, 562/10.09.2018 and 581/04.02.2019)
- 1.000 euros for PhD Candidates &
- 1.300 euros for Postdoctoral researchers
The following applies:
- Each scholarship is preceded by a relevant announcement.
- The contract to be signed will fully comply with that of the announcement making scholarships eligible.
- Scholars should not be salaried in the public or private sector. Exceptions are the cases where the call for proposals under Operational Programs, funds scholarships to support researchers and these scholarships were evaluated positively, stating their status (civil or private employee)
- Scholars should not receive a scholarship from another source at the same time, nor should they receive a scholarship from other funded programs managed by ELKE or programs funded from the regular budget of the University.
- Scholars can be remunerated at the same time as freelancers from another project managed by ELKE, as long as they do not exceed 143.33 hours per month in total employment.
The acquisition cost of the assets, the value of which is up to 1,500 euros (excluding VAT), is depreciated in a lump sum in the year in which they were first used or put into operation.
The acquisition cost of the assets, the value of which is greater than 1,500 euros (including VAT), is depreciated at an annual rate of 40% and full depreciation requires a minimum period of 30 months until the date of completion of the projects (31 months from their acquisition).
The depreciation of a fixed asset starts from the following month in which it is used or put into operation for the first time
In case the project has a shorter duration, the depreciable value of the asset can be covered by other projects or another source of the Scientific Responsible.
The percentage of calculation of indirect costs is determined each time by the respective Call / Funding Program, as well as to which eligible costs it applies.
The percentage can range from 7% to 25% and for this reason the information should be sought in the Instructions and the rules of participation of each Invitation.
However, you must keep in mind that according to a decision of the Research Committee (meeting 570 / 5.11.2018), the total budget of each project is charged with a withholding in favor of ELKE at a rate of 10% for the needs of project management.
In any case, it is suggested that the interested party contact the Department for the application of the appropriate percentage on the respective budget.
